Anu Grace Tharakan (Interns), Gishelle Swapna Quadros (Interns), Nigam Bopanna (Fourth BDS), Sheane Alexander Jacob (Third BDS) presented their Research papers at the 7th Dental Symposium, UiTM, Malaysia.

Anu Grace Tharakan won the ‘Best Oral Presenter’ award in the symposium. The theme of the symposium was ‘Integrative Dentistry – from inception to revolutionary research?

The presentation topics were; Botulinum toxin ‘A’ in unravelling gummy smile, efficiency of garlic gel as an adjunct to SRP in chronic periodontitis patients, edutainment flashcard in undergraduate teaching and its effectiveness, ‘Lumina’ a novel technology in microscopy for the colorblind.

The oral presentation program provided them a platform to present the clinical studies at an International forum. This provided them an opportunity to interact with the students from other International Universities and collaborate their learning experiences. The judges and faculty from Dental Schools across South East Asia appreciated the excellent quality of the presentations.
